Starting from Seeds

In the garden peas, greens and lettuce
are all coming up in little rows.
On the sun porch
Amish paste tomatoes and marigolds
have sprouted and are beginning
their tenuous little lives.
Hard to believe that these might one day
be large plants covered in fruit and bloom.
